What a young person carries when the adult is the one struggling.
A parent using, in treatment, relapsing, or in crisis — and the child in the house who notices everything and is told nothing.
Each card opens with a watercolour illustration and a handwritten caption. On the back: a short scenario in the client's own voice, four things they might realistically do, and a discussion prompt that moves the card from what happened to what it means.
The outcome reference sheet stays with you, so you decide when and whether to share what tends to follow each choice. No option is the correct one — every choice carries something, and that's where the conversation starts.
Kids and Teen are separately written and illustrated, not the same cards with harder words. The Teen edition includes the harder cards: witnessing violence at home, and an overdose. Both are written plainly rather than graphically.
